Big 4th quarter leads Nets to 106-103 victory over Celtics

The Nets out-scored the Celtics 30-19 in the 4th quarter on their way to victory last night.  Vince Carter had a busy night with 23 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals.  Jason Kidd had an awesome game running the point with 19 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists and 3 steals.  Richard Jefferson chipped in with 18 points.  Nenad Krstic had a solid game with 15 points and 6 rebounds.  Hassan Adams had a great game off the bench with 16 points and 8 rebounds.

The Nets improved to 6-9 with this victory.

Home-cooking doesn’t save Nets in 96-92 loss to Bobcats

It’s kind of sad when you lose at home to a team like the Bobcats.  The Nets have no valid excuses seeing how everyone on the team was healthy.  Richard Jefferson led the way with 27 points and 7 rebounds.  Vince Carter had a great game with 25 points, 6 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 blocked shots.  Nenad Krstic also had a decent game with 20 points and 4 rebounds.  Jason Kidd was very active with 6 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists.

The Nets fell to 5-9 on the season with this loss.

Nets fall a little short against the Lakers in 99-93 loss

The Nets played hard Sunday, but the Lakers were just a little bit better.  Vince Carter played well as he scored 21 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.  Nenad Krstic had a solid game in the middle with 20 points and 5 rebounds.  Richard Jefferson added 14 points and 4 rebounds.  Rookie Marcus Williams continued his fine play with 14 points.  Jason Kidd only scored 7 points, but he had 8 rebounds and 16 assists.

The Nets fell to 5-8 on the season with this loss.

Nets stars a little off in 99-93 loss to Suns

The Nets didn’t get much production out of their stars on Friday Night, but a new young star showcased his talent and helped bring the Nets all the way back.  Rookie point guard Marcus Williams led the way for the Nets with 27 points and 4 assists.  Vince Carter had a decent game with 23 points.  Jason Kidd only scored 7 points, but he grabbed 8 rebounds, dished out 5 assists and stole the ball 3 times.  Nenad Krstic also had a down night with 9 points and 7 rebounds.

The Nets fell to 5-7 on the season, despite out-rebounding the Suns 49-37!

Nets build big lead but still lose 100-97 to Blazers

The Nets had a great first half and built a 57-44 lead at halftime.  The young Blazers beat the Nets 56-40 in the second half and 31-22 in the 4th quarter to pull out the victory.

Vince Carter led the way for the Nets with 35 points.  Nenad Krstic had a solid game with 18 points and 6 rebounds.  Richard Jefferson in his first start since returning from an injury scored 16 points and grabbed 5 rebounds.  Jason Kidd was a good director with 8 points, 6 rebounds and 14 assists.

The Nets fell to 5-6 with this loss.
