Nets need Marcus Williams to pick up his play

Blogged under Need to step up, Front Page by Nothing but Net on Monday 15 January 2007 at 10:37 am

The Nets need Marcus Williams to play better, so they can give Jason Kidd more of a rest as he’s getting older.  Williams has played in 33 games and has averaged 16.7 minutes, 6.3 points, 1.8 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game this season.  Williams’ shooting and shot selection in general have not been good.  Williams is only hitting 39.9% of his shots from the floor and he’s only hit 17 of 64 (25.4%) of his three point attempts this season.  He needs to realize that the point guard is the quarterback of the offense in the NBA.
