First half of the season was disappointing for the Nets

Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong for the Nets in the first half of the season.  The Nets lost Richard Jefferson and Nenad Krstic (for the season) for long periods of time and they were considered two of the major building blocks on the Nets.  They sit at 25-29 on the season and are in 2nd place in the Atlantic Division with a 25-29 record, 4.5 games behind the Raptors.  The Nets are faced with a very tough decision with the trading deadline coming up…..do they trade Vince Carter/Jason Kidd….or do they try to make a run at the playoffs as they currently are ninth in the Eastern Conference, only 2 games behind the Miami Heat.  If they trade one of them, they might as well trade the other one too because it will be all downhill from there.  The kids do offer hope as young point guard Marcus Williams would probably really excel if the Nets trade Kidd and let the kid start.  Rookies Hassan Adams and Josh Boone could see their minutes increase as both of them have played pretty well when given the chance.
