Jason Kidd is having a great season
The fact that the New Jersey Nets have a chance to win their division speaks volumes about how well Jason Kidd has played. When Nenad Krstic and Richard Jefferson went down to injury everyone was saying it was time to stick a fork in the Nets….because they’re done! Well, Jason Kidd has had something to say about that as he is averaging 14.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 8.8 assists and 1.7 steals per game. The thing that really jumps out about those stats is the rebounds. The Nets have been having trouble rebounding as a team, so Kidd has been playing closer to the basket….especially on defense and the result has been good for both the Nets and Kidd. He’s shooting 43.3% from the floor, 36.5% on three-pointers and 79.8% from the line so his accuracy has been pretty good for a point guard. The only thing that would help out the Nets right now is if Kidd got a little more selfish on offense and tried to score more, at least until Richard Jefferson is ready to return from his injury.
