The New Jersey Nets almost gave up at the trade deadline, but they kept the Nets together and they wound up earning the #6 seed in the Eastern Conference Playoffs.  They will take on division their division rival Toronto Raptors in the first round.  The Nets finished the season with a 41-41 record which was good for second place in the Atlantic Division, 6 games behind the Toronto Raptors.  The Nets were only 24-17 at home, but a solid 17-24 on the road.  The Nets did very well against the Eastern Conference with a 31-21 record and they did well in division games as they were 10-6.  The Nets wound up averaging 97.6 points per game while allowing 98.3.  The Nets finished the season on a 4 game winning streak and they’ve won 8 of their last 10 games so they enter the playoffs hot.
