The rookies of the New Jersey Nets earn a C+
The Nets drafted a decent group of rookies as they played decent in their limited action on the floor. Point guard Marcus Williams played in 79 games and he averaged 16.6 minutes, 6.8 points, 2.1 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game. Williams was a good backup for Jason Kidd and he will eventually be the starter at the point for the Nets when Kidd moves on to another team or retires. F/C Josh Boone missed the early part of the season as he was still recovering from shoulder surgery, but he’s really stepped his game up late this season. He played in 61 games this season and he averaged 11.0 minutes, 4.2 points, 2.9 rebounds and 0.2 assists per game. Look for him to be a valuable reserve for now, but he’s a future starter for the Nets. G/F Hassan Adams played in 61 games this season and he averaged 8.1 minutes, 2.9 points, 1.3 rebounds and 0.2 assists. Look for him to be a valuable reserve in the future for the Nets. Center Mile Ilic only played in 5 games this season and he only averaged 1.2 minutes and 0.2 rebounds per game.
