The New Jersey Nets re-sign Vince Carter

Blogged under Bloglockers, Big Nets News, Front Page by alleyoop on Tuesday 3 July 2007 at 10:37 am

Vince Carter has decided to come back to the Nets as they re-signed him to a 4 year-$61.8 million dollar contract.  This was a smart move by the Nets as the Eastern Conference is ripe for the picking.  With Nenad Krstic, rookie power forward Sean Williams and Josh Boone all expected to be healthy….the interior of the offense and defense will be much better in 2007-08 for the Nets and that was their big weakness last season.

I think this was a terrible resigning. Basically compares to what the Knicks did a few years back by signing an underachieving overated has been in Allan Houston. Two years from now they will be sorry

The difference between Allan Houston and Vince Carter is that Carter’s knees are not shot, plus he’s a far better player than Allan Houston. I think bringing back Carter will make the Nets a force in the Eastern Conference this season.
