The New Jersey Nets acquire David Wesley from the Hornets

Blogged under Comings & Goings, Bloglockers, Big Nets News, Front Page by alleyoop on Monday 29 October 2007 at 3:41 pm

The Nets have acquired veteran guard David Wesley from the Hornets in return for center Mile Ilic and guard/forward Bernard Robinson. Wesley didn’t play much for the Cavs last season but he still can help the Nets who don’t have much depth at guard. He played in 35 games (5 starts) last season for the Cavs and he averaged 10.1 minutes, 2.1 points, 1.0 rebound and 1.1 assists per game. He has now played in 949 games (796 starts) in his NBA career and he has averaged 31.9 minutes, 12.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game. The Nets likely won’t miss Robinson or Mile Ilic this season.
