The Spurs really played awesome on defense last night as they held the Nets to a lousy 37.3% shooting from the floor. Vince Carter led the way for the Nets with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Maurice Williams pitched in with 16 points and 2 rebounds. Devin Harris only shot 5 of 17 from the floor as he finished with 13 points, 2 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals. The Nets are now 26-34 on the season.

The Nets only shot 34.6% from the floor and they were outrebounded 51-42 last night so it’s no mystery why they lost this game. Vince Carter led the way for the Nets with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 2 steals. Devin Harris pitched in iwith 21 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists. Richard Jefferson also had a decent game finishing with 18 points and 6 rebounds despite only shooting 4 of 13 from the floor. The Nets are now 26-33 on the season.

Sean Williams has a bright future for the New Jersey Nets

Many experts cringed when the Nets selected Williams in the first round because of his off the court issues but he’s been behaving this season as he is exhibiting big time talent. He appears to have a future as a starting power forward in the NBA as long as he doesn’t have any off court issues. Williams has played in 53 games (26 starts) this season for the Nets and he is averaging 19.9 minutes, 6.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, 0.4 assists and 1.8 blocks per game. Williams is shooting 53.9% from the floor as most of his shots come from close range as evidenced by his 62.6% free throw shooting.

The Nets shot 50.6% from the floor on Thursday and it’s a big reason for the win. Devin Harris was outstanding in his debut with the Nets as he led the way for them with 21 points and 5 assists in only 21 minutes on the floor. Richard Jefferson (19 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists) and Vince Carter (19 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists) each pitched in for the Nets. The Nets are now 26-32 on the season.
