The Off-Season has not been too good for the New Jersey Nets

Blogged under General, Comings & Goings, Bloglockers, Big Nets News, Front Page by alleyoop on Wednesday 2 September 2009 at 4:26 pm

The Nets traded Vince Carter to the Orlando Magic for Rafer Alston, Tony Battie and Courtney Lee to start off the summer. Carter is impossible for the Nets to replace but they wanted to free up cap space to make a run at LeBron James next summer. Still, losing Carter was not smart for the near future as the Nets might have problems scoring points. Lee has a nice upside but Alston and Battie are just not that good. The Nets have also re-signed SF Jarvis Hayes and drafted SG/SF Terrence Williams in the first round of the NBA Draft.

Wondering when Terrence Williams is going to get some playing time. His minutes are productive in virtually all stat categories, but he still gets pulled and then disappears. In the loss last week when they blew the big lead, he was the hottest player in the game, and for some reason he was absent down the stretch.

    Give T Will a chance.

He will play all out, defend, be an outstanding rebounder and adequate scorer if given a chance

I agree with you guys. I don’t know why Williams isn’t starting right now with all of the injuries the Nets have suffered. Last night would have been the perfect time to get him on the court with Chris Douglas-Roberts out with the flu but they started Trenton Hassell instead. That puzzles me.
