The New Jersey Nets sign Sean May
The Nets have signed 26-year old power forward Sean May to a 1-year deal. May played in 37 games (4 starts) for the Kings last season and he averaged 8.9 minutes, 3.3 points, 1.9 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game. He has now played in 119 games (25 starts) in his NBA career and he has averaged 15.7 minutes, 6.9 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.0 assist per game. This was not a high impact signing for the Nets as May will likely be sitting at the end of the bench on most nights.
UPDATE: (9/8/2010) - The Nets have released Sean May who broke his foot during workouts last week.

This is a complete joke, a real waste. May shouldn’t even be in the nba.
The nets still need a good bench. I’d like to see Rip Hamilton and Dalembert on the team. With those guys, they would look like real contenders. I wouldn’t mind seeing Lopez traded.
First of all Rich, Lopez isn’t going anywhere. He is the face of the Nets’ franchise right now. I do agree with you that they need to tighten up the bench a bit. But, overall I think the Nets are going to be a lot better in 2010-11.
