The Nets outrebounded the Knicks 51-39 but it just didn’t matter in the end as the Knicks outscored them 29-24 in the 4th quarter. Anthony Morrow led the way for the Nets last night with 30 points, 5 rebounds and 1 assist. Brook Lopez (26 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot) and Deron Williams (22 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists) also had big games for the Nets last night. Kris Humphries also had a solid game as he pitched in with 15 points, 14 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 blocked shot. The Nets are now 23-51 on the year.

Houston Rockets 112, New Jersey Nets 87

The Nets looked sluggish last night at home as they were outrebounded 56-42 and outhustled by the Rockets all night long. Brook Lopez led the way for the Nets in this game with 22 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 3 blocked shots. Jordan Farmar also had a solid game with 12 points, 4 rebounds, 7 assists and 1 steal. Sasha Vujacic (11 points), Ben Uzoh (10 points) and Kris Humphries (6 points and 13 rebounds) also pitched in for the Nets in this game. The Nets are now 23-50 on the year.

The New Jersey Nets shut down Quinton Ross for the rest of the year

The Nets have decided to shut down 29-year old SG/SF Quinton Ross down for the rest of the season due to a herniated disk in his back. Ross played in 36 games (4 starts) for the Nets this year and he averaged 9.8 minutes, 1.6 points. 0.8 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game. The Nets won’t miss him at all the rest of the year.

Atlanta Hawks 98, New Jersey Nets 87

The Nets were down 82-61 after the first three quarters before the Hawks called off the dogs. The Nets were outrebounded 40-32 and they didn’t play any D as the Hawks shot 50% and those were the biggest reasons for the loss last night. Anthony Morrow led the way for the Nets in this game with 25 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal. Sasha Vujacic (13 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals), Kris Humphries (12 points) and Johan Petro (12 points) also pitched in for the Nets last night. The Nets are now 23-49 on the year.

Orlando Magic 95, New Jersey Nets 85

The Nets were outscored 29-22 in the 4th quarter and they allowed the Magic to shoot 50.7% from the floor and those were the two biggest reasons for the road loss last night. Anthony Morrow (19 points and 2 rebounds), Jordan Farmar (15 points, 5 rebounds and 16 assists) and Kris Humphries (14 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists) led the way for the Nets in this game. Travis Outlaw, Brook Lopez and Sasha Vujacic pitched in with 10 points apiece in this game. The Nets are now 23-48 on the year.
