The Nets signed 26-year old SG/SF Gerald Green out of the D-League and he has been rock solid for them. Green has played in 17 games (0 starts) for the Nets so far this year and he is averaging 22.8 minutes, 11.4 points, 3.2 rebounds, 0.6 assists and 1.1 steals per game. He is also shooting an outstanding 50% from the floor so far this year. Green has been electrifying in the open court as he is an outstanding finisher at the rim. This was a great pickup for the Nets as Green is young enough to play well for them for a while.

The Nets have just re-signed 24-year old forward Dennis Horner. Smith is only shooting 21.4% from the floor so far this year and that’s not going to get him more P.T. going forward.
