The New Jersey Nets have to be happy with Marshon Brooks so far this year

The Nets are off to a awful start to the 2011-12 season, but they can’t blame that on 22-year old shooting guard Marshon Brooks. Brooks has played in 9 games (2 starts) for the Nets so far this year and he is averaging 25.3 minutes, 14.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 1.0 steal per game. He is also shooting the ball well from long range as he has hit 11 of 27 (40.7%) of his three point shots so far this year. Brooks is already close to pushing Anthony Morrow out of the starting lineup. 21-year old power forward Jordan Williams has not had much of a chance to play so far this year. He has played in 4 games (0 starts) for the Nets so far this year and he is averaging 7.0 minutes, 1.5 points, 2.3 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game. 22-year old power forward Dennis Horner has only played in 5 games (0 starts) so far this year for the Nets and he is averaging 3.2 minutes, 0.8 points and 0.6 rebounds per game.
